Broadbent Auction Reserve is a small production Port skillfully blended to taste consistent every time you buy it. It’s a blend of the highest quality Ports, varying in age, to give it sophistication, elegance, depth and power. Most Reserve wines appear to be a step up from basic Ruby Port but Broadbent Auction Reserve is just one small step down from a Vintage Port. The name Auction Reserve was chosen because it represents the very finest Port and celebrates the life of Michael Broadbent, who organized the world’s first wine auction in 1966. Bartholomew Broadbent founded Broadbent Port in conjunction with Dirk Niepoort, Portugal’s most unique and creative winemaker.
