Vineyard: Contrada Cottanera, Castiglione di Sicilia, 15 year old vines, 720 meters above sea level. Lava-alluvial and lava-clayey soil.
Harvest: Last week of October (manual harvesting, with small crates).
Fermentation: Destemming and maceration with skin contact, at controlled temperature, for about 20-25 days. Fermentation in stainless steel, at controlled temperatures with frequent pumping of must grapes and wine-pressing. Aged in stainless steel for about 5 months.
Tasting Notes: Vibrant ruby red in color. Delightful scents of raspberry and blackberry, wild flowers interwoven with light mineral scents. Very pleasant freshness on the palate, with a fresh tasting hint of acid.
