Vineyards: More than 2,400 acres of vines in and around Tautavel and Vingrau, with additional acreage in Maury, Opoul, and Montner. Vines are planted in clay/limestone and marne/schist soils.
Composition: 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 20% Syrah
Viticulture & Vinification: Produced from old vines averaging 50 years in age, yielding just 2 tons/acre. 72 hour cold soak followed by a short, 15 day fermentation in tank. Only the free run juice was used for this blend. Unoaked.
Tasting Notes: Big and bold, with smoky, spicy black cherry, cassis and garrigue aromas. Full-bodied, with a long finish. Excellent with grilled meats and vegetables.
