Description
The 2015 ìKilmoreî is consistently sourced from Lenne Vineyard and Merriman Vineyard contributing to a beautiful expression of the Yamhill Carlton AVA. These two vineyards are planted on a combination of Peavine silty clay loam, Panther silty clay loam, WillaKenzie silty clay loam, and Hazelair silty clay loam soils.
Aged 8 months in 34% new French oak barrels, this blend of Merriman and Lenne Vineyard Pinot Noir (Pommard, Dijon & Wadensvil clones) represents the nature of this AVA, with a bright red ruby hue in the glass, followed by aromas of forest floor, black cherry and fresh cut rosemary. The palate has bright acidity with flavors of brambleberry, dark chocolate and black currant. Silky tannins dance across the mid-palate and aid in a smooth, long finish. Drink now through 2024+.
