Pure Sonoma Pinot aromatics of bright, red cherries with hints of cinnamon, cedar, and the slightest hint of tarragon. Very focused flavors of Jolly Rancher candy along with cranberry and a melange of various red fruits. There is a considerable seam of acidity which carries the layers of flavors well into the long finish. It has the typical soft and velvety structure of most Pinot Noirs yet maintains some pretty, melting tannins which add to the mouth.
This would be an excellent accompaniment to lamb chops with a rosemary marinade, baked salmon in a lemon and butter sauce, or duck confit on a bed of wild mushroom risotto.
