Celebrate Earth Day with Sustainable Wines & Spirits

Earth Day is the perfect time to raise a glass to the producers who care for the land as much as they care for what goes into the bottle. At Classique Wines and Spirits, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment shared by many of the wineries and distilleries we represent.

As you browse our catalog, keep an eye out for the leaf symbol, which marks wines and spirits produced using organic, sustainable, or environmentally conscious practices. We’re proud to offer more than 350 earth-friendly wines, giving retailers and restaurants plenty of options for eco-minded customers and Earth Day features.

Here are a few standout producers leading the way.

Ransom Spirits – Organic Craft from the Willamette Valley

Established in 1997, Ransom Spirits has spent more than 25 years crafting exceptional spirits while prioritizing stewardship of the land. Located in Oregon’s famed Willamette Valley, the Ransom estate includes a 40-acre organic farm, vineyard, and distillery.

Barley has been grown on the property since 2008, with the first vineyard plantings following in 2010. Demonstrating a deep commitment to sustainability, the farm earned organic certification in 2011, and the distillery followed with organic certification in 2021.

Ransom blends old-world craft traditions with innovative techniques, producing distinctive spirits that reflect both heritage and creativity.

Dhos Non-Alcoholic Spirits – Botanical, Clean, and Zero Proof

Crafted by the team behind Ransom, Dhos Non-Alcoholic Spirits offer a refreshing alternative for modern drinkers. These botanical spirits are designed for sophisticated mocktails with zero alcohol and zero sugar, delivering complex flavor while supporting health-conscious lifestyles.

With the same attention to quality ingredients and thoughtful production that defines Ransom, Dhos makes it easy to enjoy a mindful drink without compromise.

Domaine du Pegau – Rhône Valley Tradition

Domaine du Pegau is rooted in a historic Provençal farmhouse surrounded by 41 hectares of vineyards planted on classic Rhône terroir, including parcels covered in the region’s signature rolled pebbles.

The estate produces a range of wines that capture the authentic character of the Rhône Valley from Côtes du Rhône Villages reds to fresh whites, rosés, and approachable table wines.

We recommend Domaine Pegau Cuvée Réservée Rouge 2022. 97points Wine Advocate, 96points Jeb Dunnuck.  The flagship of the Domaine du Pegau, the Cuvée Réservée represents the Domaine over the years. Big, rich and full-bodied wine you will remember.

Sans Liege Wines – Freedom of the Rhône in California

For winemaker Curt Schalchlin, Sans Liege represents a relentless search for independence in winemaking. Inspired by the heritage of the RhĂ´ne Valley but guided by the freedom of the New World, Sans Liege wines are shaped by intuition and deep respect for each vineyard site.

Fruit is sourced from vineyards stretching from Paso Robles to Solvang, locations chosen not just for quality but for their unique personalities. Each wine reflects the microclimate, soil, and story of the site, resulting in expressive wines that balance tradition and innovation.

Levee & Loam – Wines Rooted in the Sacramento Delta

Levee & Loam wines celebrate a place where great wines are grown rather than made. Sourced from vineyards in California’s historic Sacramento Delta, these wines reflect a region defined by fertile loam soils, cooling delta breezes, and abundant sunshine.

The vineyards thrive along the levees that shape the Delta’s unique microclimate, producing wines that emphasize balance, food-friendliness, and subtle complexity. Each bottle reflects the philosophy that exceptional wine begins in the vineyard.
