Mardi Gras in Missouri: Cocktails & Carnival Flavor

As the sounds of brass bands and parade cheers fill Missouri’s Mardi Gras celebrations, we’re raising a glass to New Orleans tradition with bold spirits, vibrant flavors, and festive cocktails.

🎭 Featured Cocktails & Rums

Yes, Hurricanes are the iconic drink of New Orleans, but this Mardi Gras season, try a new twist like the Navy Grog or Jamrock. These cocktails highlight rich rum character balanced with bright citrus flavors.

Behind these classic and modern rum cocktails are producers deeply rooted in Caribbean tradition.

Caribbean Spirits & Hamilton Rums

Caribbean Spirits, owned by the iconic Ed Hamilton, has been producing authentic rum since 1670. The estate uses traditional pot still distillation, a process that predates modern column stills. The result is a heavy-bodied rum with high ester content, celebrated for its depth, richness, and authenticity.

Caribbean Spirits carries an extensive collection of rums for every palate, from bold and funky expressions to refined, approachable styles. Perfect for both classic tiki recipes and creative modern cocktails.

The Duppy Share

The Duppy Share inspires friends to unite and escape the ordinary by embracing the Spirit of the Caribbean.

As whiskey ages, a portion evaporates to the angels, the Angel’s Share. In the Caribbean, legend tells of playful Jamaican spirits called Duppies that swoop between distilleries, stealing the very best of the rum as it ages in oak barrels. These fun-loving spirits exist to bring people together and help create unforgettable memories.

The Duppy Share is not just a celebration of rum, but of the Caribbean itself. A unique group of islands between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, known for their warmth, beauty, and welcoming spirit. Every bottle captures the fun, excitement, and soul of the islands.

🍷 Beyond the Parade: Levee & Loam Wines

When the beads come off and the music slows down, Levee & Loam offers wines with character and a true sense of place. Perfect for post-parade dinners, crawfish boils, or casual gatherings with friends. These wines deliver excellent value and are ideal for those large post-parade gatherings.

Levee & Loam wines are deeply rooted in California’s history, where great wines are grown, not “made.” They celebrate the unique microclimate and viticulture shaped by the levees of the Sacramento Delta, where vines thrive in fertile loam, abundant sunshine, and cooling delta breezes. Balanced and food-friendly, these wines emphasize nuance, freshness, and subtlety sip by sip.

Try These Selections:

Levee & Loam Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
